Ixaya School Project, called

500 Together. 

Our goal is to have 500 people donate only $20 a month to help us provide a decent education, 3 meals a day and an opportunity to children in desperate need to have a better life.

You will be helping the children of the Tashirat Orphanage and other children from poor surrounding areas in Central Mexico have a chance to experience an education and environment so many of us have taken for granted. 

All of this for a simple contribution of $20 a month.

Many poor children in the surrounding areas of where we live in have little if any chance to improve their lives and overall living conditions.  They are only exposed to one way of life. 

They have poverty and abuse at home, neglect and an overall lack of attention at their public school and little to no opportunity to advance their lives past what they see in their homes every day. 

Alcoholism, abuse and poverty become an accepted way of life. 

This is all that these children see day in and day out and they continue this vicious cycle as adults.

Together, we have a chance to change that.

By helping us give these children a globally-conscious education, emotional stability, correct nutrition and unconditional love, you in turn give a gift to the world in the form of a human being that will positively affect thousands of lives throughout their lifetime 

With your help, we can open their eyes to a side of life they never knew existed. 

A side of life so many of us take for granted.

The name of our school means just that in Nahuatl.

Ixaya: To open one's eyes.

This modest contribution on your part will help spread love, education and encouragement to many for years to come. 

Your contribution helps us to pay our teachers' salaries, feed all of the children 3 meals a day and purchase and pay for neccesary materials and utilities to keep the school operating.

100% of your contribution is applied to these costs.

We only have until June 1st, 2008 to raise the money we need for the year or the school will not open.
